Changes For New Blog

I guess this is the last changes I will make for my Soap Blog for now. I change the header wrapper because I had a hard time trying to figure out how to center the last header wrapper that I did after the transition.


From one sidebar, I changed it to two sibebars again because I want all the important links to be easily seen. I might be adding some more links so I thought it will be better to have two sidebars.

I really think it is important to do the changes that you want during the first few months of the blog. This way, all the important links are not that so many yet, in case you have to do some major changes on the template. I always want my website to be remembered on its original design because some people might be confused in remembering your website from the first time they visit it.

I remember making a major changes on few of my blogs and forgot to put back the meta tags from some major search engines. For a while I was wondering what did I do for the sudden slow of traffic on my websites. It took me almost a month to remember to put back all those meta tags. And it took another few weeks to bring back the regular traffic of my website.

First Few Works For New Blogs

My Soap Blog custom domain Url is now up and running. I have started to do some work on it like creating the feed url using feedburner, submit it to most visited and high ranking directories like Technoratti, BlogFlux, FuelMyBlog, MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog and will be submitting more to different free live directories one day at a time. For the meantime these few things that I just did is quite important in optimization.


I also did few changes on it template and might do more changes sometime in the future. I have also included of my two new domain blog on my signature profile to some forums that I always go to. This is also one great way to get quality backlinks and qualified traffic. I just hope that this two new blogs that I just started will eventually bring extra income for me sometime next year.

Selling My Own Products

I have been wanting to create another webstore but just couldn't find a good product to offer. I am just to skeptical to create another webstore and sell someone's products. I am afraid to start working hard to sell someone's products and eventually leave me in the dark when the supplier decided to stop selling their products. This is the problem most dropshipper have.

When I found out that the keywords for print designing has a good potential market, I thought of creating a blog first. I will see if this is a good product to sell through my blog before I create a webstore. I love designing stuff using the new technology, so it will be good to sell my own product with very affordable prize.

Why Page Rank Is Important?

I have been visiting some blogs on my blogroll and realized that a lot of these blogs are inactive. They work hard at the start and then suddenly stop updating their blog. Some have lost their interest after they lost their Page Rank. Some have abandoned their lost Page Rank Blog and start creating and working for another blog. Some who purchased a domain name didn't renewed after one year.

Is this really how blogging should be. I believe that most of these blogs hope that after bulding their blog, they will start making money right away. Or maybe some have started making money after their blog received a Page Rank by doing paid reviews and thought it was a happy ending. Then after Google have stripped down the Page Rank of their blog, they stop blogging. Or maybe they thought Page Rank will just stay after getting it the first time.

For some blogger, Page Rank is important because that is the source of money for doing paid reviews. But you must remember that Page Rank can be taken away faster, if you are doing too much open links through paid reviews. At least choose a relevant product or services to link to your blog.

Page Rank for me is important because it is the source of authority to get good position of the search for a certain keywords particularly in Google. Page Rank is how your blog or website is valued by most of the Search Engines. It may not be important to some, but Page Rank is important if you want to make money online. Take it or leave it!!!

Proper Optimization For Ecommerce and Blogging

After reading some of the inspiring posts of Darren, I am now eager to start another journey in finding ways to make my love for blogging for a living, someday. If some people can do it, I know I can do it too.

After learning the proper use of the right keywords and keywords phrases on my webstore, I realized that I did the wrong optimization on most of my blogs. I thought I was doing it right.

Proper blog or website optimization should start from the URL, then title and the description. These three should all have the keywords- of the traffic that you are targetting. Then the keywords and keywords phrases should be spread though out the content of your blog or website.

I've seen the amazing result of this simple yet very powerful basic knowledge of SEO on my webstore. Who could have thought that after 6 to 7 months, my webstore will be seen in most search engines and receive orders from different part of the world.

I may not be making big money yet, but I know sooner I will. The worst enemy on ebusiness is the almost never ending wait for everything to happen.

Ecommerce and blogging have almost the same process. It both need the knowledge and experience in SEO, continous work and learning. I know I am not even halfway there, but at least I can see the bright light that will lead me to the right direction.
